Major Update on Ex-MLB Pitcher Greg Swindell’s Missing Daughter

The daughter of a former MLB pitcher was found safe on Tuesday after she was reported missing last week.
Brenna Swindell, daughter of former major league player Greg Swindell, went missing on Thursday. Her father spent 17 years in the MLB, playing for multiple teams such as the Cleveland Guardians, Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins.
Prior to her disappearance, Brenna Swindell was last seen at Poodies Hilltop Bar in Spicewood, Texas with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry. They left around 10:20 p.m. that night and their phones were turned off the next day.
Sarah Swindell, Brenna’s mother, wrote that Brenna and Guidry were “located and are okay” on Facebook. It is unclear where they were found.
Greg Swindell also shared an update on Facebook.
“Thanks to EVERYONE who got involved. Sarah Swindell and I and our family and extended family thanks you,” Greg Swindell wrote.
Austin Police Department, who investigated the disappearance, had said they were concerned about Brenna Swindell’s “safety and immediate welfare.” They said she had not been in usual contact with family and friends.
Brenna Swindell is a single mother of three. Sarah Swindell said it was not like her daughter to disappear without any contact.
“Again, her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don’t know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what,” Sarah Swindell said on Facebook. “I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation. So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger.”
Sarah Swindell said she had been in contact with Guidry’s father, who she said was “helpful.”
She said she was working on looking into multiple leads they had received.
Officials said she could have been in a white 2022 Kia Carnival with a Texas license plate. The vehicle belongs to Brenna Swindell.
The vehicle was potentially seen on Interstate 25 in Colorado on Friday evening. The van and Guidry were potentially spotted in Colorado Springs on Sunday.
Greg Swindell had also told people in Idaho to be on the lookout on Monday.
Greg Swindell was drafted to the MLB in 1986 and retired in 2002. Before his professional debut, he played baseball at the University of Texas at Austin and became one of the school’s most decorated pitchers in the college’s history.
